Paul’s journey is for anyone who’s ever been the underdog with something to prove.
A Florida native, Paul started playing baseball at just four years old. “I wasn’t good for a long time,” he says. “I didn’t really break through until I was 13.”
He may not have been a child prodigy, but like every baseball kid’s dream, Paul was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies out of high school. Instead of taking the pro route, he chose to play college ball. That decision led to one of his toughest setbacks: getting cut from junior college.
“It’s hard to explain how it feels going from the highest of highs to getting cut,” Paul admits. “It felt like hitting rock bottom.”
But Paul didn’t stay there.
He transferred to Saint Leo University, where everything started to shift. “That’s where I really started to find who I was. I was surrounded by people who lifted me up. I found my confidence, my voice—I found my stride.”
Paul redefined his game and his future—earning All-Conference honors four times and being named Male Athlete of the Year. He went on to play for the Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League and the Windy City Thunderbolts in the Frontier League.
When Paul heard True Victory’s underdog message, it hit home. “I was never the guy—until I became the guy nobody expected. That’s what True Victory stands for. It’s not just a brand—it’s a brotherhood. It’s military-owned, mission-driven, and truly a family.”
Paul’s journey isn’t just about baseball. It’s about rising through setbacks, discovering your purpose, and staying grounded in who you are.
Because being #AlwaysTrue means standing tall in your lowest moments—and never letting the world write your story for you.
