Court Heyborne

Court Heyborne

One line stopped Court Heyborne in his tracks. If you’re not perfect…

It is True Victory’s mission. A mission built for those who’ve struggled, failed, been the underdog, doubted themselves or been doubted by others. We’re here to build everyday champions through grit, purpose, and positive change. And for Court, that one line felt personal.

“It felt like it was written for me,” he says. “I’ve messed up. I’ve been through it. But I’ve never stopped trying to be better.”

Court’s journey hasn’t been clean or easy. An Infantry Machine Gunner Marine Corps veteran who’s moved 38 times, Court found himself behind a desk managing Construction of the New Utah State Correctional Facility, dealing with PTSD, drinking to cope, gaining weight, and going through a divorce after transitioning out of the military in 2010.

Then came a turning point—he posted about going on a run. After one blunt comment from a Marine buddy, he knew it was time to change and that it had to start with him. “I got called out. I didn’t like it. But I needed it. That moment made me start taking accountability, I needed to be disciplined. Marines are always ready for the call and I had failed to maintain that physical and mental readiness. I need to be a leader for my two boys and set an example.”

He hit the gym. Started thinking differently. And then he found True Victory. “It just popped up on my Instagram. Veteran-owned. Built on discipline, purpose, and staying true to yourself. It just… meshed.”

But it was that one line that hit the deepest.
If you’re not perfect, this is the perfect brand for you.

“That gave me permission to show up as I am. To struggle, to fail, to keep trying. That’s life. That’s fatherhood. That’s manhood. Being Always True doesn’t mean getting it right every time—it means owning it, learning, and staying committed.”

Court shares his journey on Instagram through @heybornemen—a platform that encourages honest conversations about health, fatherhood, struggle, and personal discipline. “You can’t force people to change, but you can let them watch you. Leaders lead by example, they don’t force change, they influence it. Just talking about the basics—accountability, fitness, mindset—it sparks something.”

His entire family wears True Victory. His kids might not know what it means yet but they are growing up watching their dad show up consistently—not perfectly—but truly. You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. You just have to be real to be #AlwaysTrue.

“That’s what I want to leave them: the example that even when you’re down, even when it’s messy, you don’t give up. You stay true to who you are. True to your purpose”
